Ballas has experience in providing training and consultation with your type of program. With more than 20 years of practical experience in the afterschool field and as the Chief Executive Officer of School-Age NOTES, Tracey is known for her ability to listen carefully to program directors and staff and create training that meets the specific needs of their programs. She has conducted workshops and facilitated training throughout the United States and in Europe.

Included among her accomplishments, Tracey:

•  has served for the past 17 years as an Education and Training Associate for the National Institute on Out-of-School Time (NIOST) at the Wellesley College Center for Research on Women.
• is the former statewide coordinator of the Ohio Project on Out-of-School Time and the former director of the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association.
• served as the director of Child Care Services for the YMCA of Central Ohio and was the director of the Zanesville City Schools After-School Programs.
• was one of the founders of the National School-Age Care Alliance (now the National AfterSchool Association) and served as president of that organization for six years.
• is the past president of the Ohio Professionals for School-Age Children.
• has testified in Congress and served as an advisor to former Vice-President Al Gore on the Welfare to Work Committee.
